At last – there is a new generation of management professionals who understand leadership and the value of motivation in the workplace.
Over the last 20 years or so ‘management’ has seen little sustained change. Many organisations are still operating with an old top heavy hierarchical structure that’s designed to manage via control.
Yet, there have been radical changes in society and the world of work, particularly in the way we communicate. There is a new generation on the rise, a generation who embrace the internet and social media who expect connectivity and interaction; to work differently and be treated differently. In light of this it is time for a radical change in how we manage organisations, resources and people.
Challenging Beliefs and Behaviours …
When managers challenge existing approaches and reinvent how they manage, they can impact the effectiveness of people and the culture of the organisation itself. To achieve this reinvention, there must be a focus on the beliefs and behaviours that underpin how managers think they should manage. The first step is to challenge our own beliefs and behaviours. The second step is to challenge those of our people. This course is designed to assist you to make those necessary cultural changes in yourself and in others.
When you change beliefs and behaviours, all else follows.
How do you manage people in the 21st Century?
Managing in the 21st century is no longer about the old paradigm of planning, organising, directing and controlling work. In today’s workplace all knowledgeable workers capably self-manage their own projects and work commitments. Instead 21st Century Management is about leading people via innovation, questioning and learning
